We couldn't help but find out what our little bundle of joy was going to be. We have been patiently waiting for my doctor to schedule my sonogram and our patience paid off. My appointment was yesterday and our little guy was more than happy to share his gender with us. (I just hope that he won't make "showing off" a habit of his.) He was very active during the entire ultrasound, it made getting some of his measurements a little challenging, but it was really neat to see. Everything is where it should be with his development and we are still on track to welcome him into our family around July 10th.
Coming from a family of all girls, I do have to admit that I am a little nervous to be starting out with a little boy in our family. Brandon assures me that we'll be fine and it'll be easy...but then I hear stories from when he was growing up, and if that's "easy" I'm in BIG trouble. Bubble gum, toy army men, and baseball bats are a few of the things that I'll have to stay away from if our little guy is going to take after dad in any way.
We couldn't be happier for the blessing of bringing a little baby into this world. And a little boy is going to bring so much life and excitement in our lives, we are anxiously awaiting his arrival.
Oh, but army men are a must for any little boy. I guess I will just have to kidnap him so he can come play with them with us ;)
ReplyDeleteYay for boys! They are lots of fun...but then again I'm a little biased and don't know otherwise! Congrats, you guys!
